KILL'EM ALL

 - Thank you for rescue Anya, stranger! I have an old scroll somewhere... Ah, there it is. It will permanently add + 10 to all your resistances.

 - But wats happens if I die? Resists from the scroll are displayed, but not working. I have to rejoin the game to activate bonus again.

 - Dont worry, this bug was fixed long time ago.

 - You're not in Kansas anymore, Doroty! I have an old scroll somewhere... Ah, there it is. Complete list of changes in Hell difficulty:


  • Increased monster levels, stats, hp, damage, defence, AR. Their AI improves as well, allowing them to react more quickly and attack more ferociously.

  • Some even gain new abilities, such as adding elemental damage to their attacks. Monsters that can cast skills gain 7 levels to their magical attacks.

  • Most Superuniques gain a second random modifier to add to their preset properties. Random boss monsters gain a third random Monster Modifiers.

  • Nearly all monsters have at least one Immunity and additional resistances.

  • Player and Hireling resistances are reduced by 100 in the expansion. PLR included.

  • Death results in a loss of 10% of the experience required to reach the next level. Retrieving your corpse restores 75% of the lost experience. The experience loss will never drop you down a level, your experience won't drop any lower than the minimum for a given level.

  • Hirelings and Summons deal 25% damage to Act bosses.

  • Duration of Freezing and Chilling effects are reduced by 3/4.

  • Duration of AI-affecting curses (Confuse, Attract, Dim Vision) is reduced by 3/4.

  • Life/Mana Stealing are cut to 2/3. Many hell monsters, especially Superuniques, have additional penalties to leech.

  • Static Field cannot reduce a monster's health below 50%.

  • Many area maps are increased in size. (Tower cellar, Durance of hate etc)

  • Act V has additional "Guest Monsters" from other acts to increase the difficulty.

  • Hell difficulty is the only difficulty level in which the two Battle.net only quests, the Pandemonium Event and the Uber Diablo Quest can be obtained.

  • Monsters have much higher odds to drop exceptional and elite items: Normal monster: 30% exceptional, 20% elite. Boss/champion: 40% exceptional, 40% elite.

 - There is also some penalties, when you face superuniques, аrea bosses and act bosses in all difficulty.  I have an old scroll somewhere... Ah, there it is

  • Ignores Target Defense only applies to any minions.

  • -% Target Defense from items is only 50% effective.

  • -% Defense from Cloak of Shadows does not apply.

  • Slow Missiles does not apply.

  • Stun length does not apply.

  • AI mods and curses doesnt works.

  • Life lost to Crushing Blow is halved.

  • Only minions can be frozen, bosses can only be chilled.

  • And following only for Act bosses:

  • Holy Freeze does not slow or apply its cold radial damage.

  • Apply 200% damage to hirelings and 400% damage to pets.

  • Hirelings only apply 50% damage in Normal, 35% damage in Nightmare and 25% damage in Hell.

 - Did you know this, Mizan? Now we are going to kill the Ancients, but everything is against us.

 - Oh, Boss, Im smart. I use Amlify damage and Life tap. But you have problem with experience gained.

 - Damn! Seems like I need to kill Baal thousens of times. Whats a boring job.

 - Better play wit party members. In a party the total experience earned for killing a monster is increased by up to 35% and share between all members within 2 screens. Killer gains 10% bonus.

 - Did you see, Boss. More people, more fun.

 - Its not so funny, because experience is more, but the monsters are stronger. I have an old scroll somewhere... Ah, there it is.
